Hello
My name is Jerell, the founder of Brownes Caribbean. I'm 22 years old and currently studying at University. I've been passionate about cooking since I could remember. I grew up helping my dad marinate food for dinner, learning how different spices taste and when to add them. Family recipes and generations of traditions developed me into the self proclaimed chef I am today. At 18 I was training to be a sous chef in a traditional British kitchen and always wanted to start my own restaurant / takeaway one day.
Through personal development and the want to provide authentic, healthy Caribbean food, I feel nows the time for me to truly chase my dream. Takeaways don't need to be unhealthy, expensive, bad value for money and feel like a cheat meal.
At Brownes Caribbean all food is prepared fresh daily with high quality ingredients and organic spices. We provide value for money, whether you just want some fresh chips with gravy or our generational Browne Stew Chicken with Rice and Peas. There's no cheat meals, only cheap meals.
I felt crowdfunding along with my own capital could be a great way to start this business and enable it to become apart of the local community. Offering job prospects and contributing to community projects. I hope the rewards reflect with our beliefs and soon we'll be serving Brownes Caribbean for the community.
