Brookdale House Studio houses Choir Connexion and is is home to London Community Gospel Choir and other choirs who rehearses at the studio. Recordings are also done in the studio by local people and far beyond with names such as as Brian May, Paul O'Grady, Mick Hucknall, Tinie Tempah and Callum Scott.
We had a plan after the renovations to offer more studio hire, vocal and music workshops, choir rehearsals, recording/filming sessions and one-to-one vocal sessions and was at the point to launch more community-based activities.
We started renovations with a healthy set of bookings up to the end of the year, then global COVID-19 pandemic set in which cancelled all our bookings. This has created a very uncertain landscape for the studio, which is a major set back in going forward and making it very challenging for the studio to survive.
We have been at this location now for over 20 years and are totally dedicated to the arts and have felt the suffering of what corona has brought. We want to be here for at least another 20 years and want to be here for the young as well as the not so young, the able bodied and not so able bodied.
We hope by getting back on track we can bring joy and help to inspire our community and beyond by offering these services.
