On the the 7th January 2024, I, myself (Anna, Chair of Bromyard Pride & Ally) put the feelers out on the local Bromyard Facebook page about doing a Pride Festival Day/Weekend.
We got amazing feedback from the general public and we quickly set up a meeting and had a team of directors, Whilst Philli came on board a couple of weeks later me & the directors worked incredibly hard during the 6 months we had to plan it and pulled of an amazing 3 day festival. We decided upon myself burning out afterwards slightly, we would slightly scale it back in 2025 and bring some more directors on whilst one has left as they no longer live in Bromyard, we are working hard and promoting constantly over on our socials, asking Bromyard Town Council for grant which we were successful and also a kind donation from Bromyard Lions - trying to organise fundraisers. All of the directors have full or part time jobs and we do this for free, we don't want a medal but any small or big donation would greatly appreciated as marketers, a donation to The Conquest Theatre for letting them use their premises on Friday the 5th and Saturday the 6th of July, we will be working hard to make it an amazing success as last year and we are keen to keep this going year on year because Bromyard is The Town of Festivals! Last year we had to cover costs whilst waiting for Herefordshire Council paid us back for the grant and it took around 3 months to get not even the full amount they said they'd give us but onwards and upwards, let's get Bromyard Pride 2025 happening and we'd like support from any of you if you'd like to volunteer on Saturday, have a stall (For £15), there will be face painting again, make a donation or support us on over the weekend.
Bromyard is a amazing, beautiful little town and we are here to stay.
