Broadstairs Town Team's aims are to make our town an even nicer place to live in, work in and visit.

Collaboration is key to that.

It's all about Community working together.  We are all volunteers

We have a fantastic volunteer Gardens Group that maintain 8 sites in and around the town beautifully

We do regular out of season litterpicks.

We run The Broadstairs Town Shed, which is a volunteer-led project started in 2014. It's a place for older people, (50+) to get together, and participate in meaningful and rewarding DIY/woodwork and metalwork-based activities. Joining the Shed helps tackle loneliness and isolation, allows members to share and learn new skills, and increases community involvement & engagement.

Town Team receive no regular or central funding and rely on fundraising activities and donations to carry on with the work we do for our town.

We make a difference, and have won several community awards for our work, and a great deal of our time is spent supporting other small local community groups to in turn help others in our Town.

The knock of effect of Covid 19 on our community and people's sense of isolation means that involvement in community projects to engender positive mental well being, whether via gardening or at The Shed is more vital than ever.
