Bring Wannabes to Edinburgh Fringe!

Aim: Wanna help Wannabes, a new play uplifting young working-class female voices, to get to the Edinburgh Fringe this year?

You’re 17. Life is all situationships, vodka and crying over revision. But tonight, the future doesn’t exist. Tonight is about the girls you’ve spent every day with since primary. It doesn’t matter that next year you’ll all be in different places with different lives and different friends… cos that’s just depressing!

Wannabes is a hilarious, heartfelt exploration of being working class, wrestling with your identity and the power of female friendship (and the Spice Girls).

Rational Creatures Theatre is an emerging student-run theatre company, aiming to amplify underrepresented stories, particularly those of women, and widen access to the arts. We strongly believe that everyone deserves to see themselves reflected onstage. Wannabes is our first production and we couldn't be more excited to bring this important story to the Edinburgh Fringe festival - but this is an unfortunately expensive venture.
