Good Luck Laila and thank you for sharing your wonderful work with the rest of the world. Arts makes people powerful and art is power.

liz crichton 23rd May 2018

If any artist needs the support of Outside In, it is artists like Laila, who are denied the freedom to fully participate in the international artistic community.

Rose Knox-Peebles 23rd May 2018

Art is colour and nationality-blind. Art can travel everywhere; into the worst places in the world, and into the best. We, in the UK can enjoy it at our ease and in safety, but there are people making art, needing art, without art, in places that are hard and cruel. Yet art will always be there allowing people imprisoned by war or by distress, to live.

Christopher Holden 23rd May 2018

After hearing and seeing in the media recently how terrible the conditions are in Gaza, as an artist I am especially impressed by Laila Kassab managing to create and by donating give her hope help in showing her art.

Judith Maizels 12th May 2018

I love Laila's work and I would do anything to help the people of Gaza achieve justice and peace so they can each live fulfilling and creative lives – to do so is a human right that has been cruelly stolen from the people of Gaza.

John Austin 12th May 2018

Laila's situation is an example of the continuing Nakba, the great catastrophe for the Palestinian people - denied the freedom to travel due to the Israeli colonial occupation and blockade, her defiance and resistance can be symbolised by her paintings exiting Gaza and being exhibited worldwide.

Imran Khan 11th May 2018

Creativity, peace and hope is the right of every person. So, when Laila comes to the UK, I will have more hope, peace and be inspired to be more creative! See you soon, inshallah. xx
