At North Star Learning Hub, we believe education should be a source of confidence, curiosity and empowerment — not anxiety, exclusion or inequality.

Too many families face barriers to accessing the support their children need. Whether it’s funding for exam entries, finding the right provision for a neurodivergent child, or navigating a system that often feels overwhelming, the journey can be lonely, confusing, and financially draining.

We want to change that.

💛 Why I Started This Project

Hi, I’m Lotti — a qualified teacher with over 16 years of experience, and the founder of North Star Learning Hub.

I’ve worked with countless children and families who’ve felt let down by mainstream education. I’ve also faced the impact of a broken system myself — both as a teacher and a parent. After leaving the classroom, I created something new: a nurturing, creative space where children are supported in a way that’s truly personal.

Since then, I’ve worked with home-educating families, anxious children, those out of school, and learners who simply need an approach that honours who they are.

🛠 What This Fund Will Do

This crowdfunder will allow us to:

💡 Provide fully or partially funded exam entries (e.g. Functional Skills) for families in financial difficulty

📚 Offer mentoring for children who are out of school, anxious, or neurodivergent

🧭 Support parents navigating ESBA, EHCPs, appeals, and advocacy for additional support

🧰 Create free and low-cost resources to help families feel more empowered and informed

🚀 Expand our reach to support more families who are falling through the cracks
