We all love the sound of Braughing’s bells ringing out across the village, but keeping them in good shape takes money. Recently, essential work was carried out on the clock winder that controls the ringing of the bells every hour. While that’s been completed, the bells still need year-round maintenance, and with the church short of funds, every bit helps.
Many of you commented passionately on a recent Facebook post, and the turnout at the reception given following the recent maintenance work on the winder showed just how much the sound of the bells means to the comm
unity. They’re part of our village’s heart, and we want to keep them ringing loud and clear.
I've set-up a crowdfunder campaign to help the church pay for future maintenance. A donation of just £1 or £2 would be a great help in keeping Braughing’s bells in top condition. Doantions of any amount welcome.
