A little bit about Broomfield Park Swimming Club

Established back in 1903 Broomfield Park is one of the oldest swimming clubs in London. We are a friendly, competitive swimming club, catering for swimmers of all abilities and ages. We provide a structure that will enable them to progress from beginners to National Champions.

Our Aim

Our aim is to create well rounded young athletes through a stimulating, challenging and competitive environment. Supported by dedicated coaches, teachers and volunteers, swimmers are supported to reach their individual potential.

Our Swimmers

We currently have approximately 400  swimmers, ranging from 3yrs old in our Swim School programme to 75yrs in our Masters Squad.  We have many County and Regional swimmers and even swimmers representing the club at National competitions, with many across several age groups achieving podium success.

Supporting our coaches

As a family and community club we have managed to financially support our coaches through the recent lockdown and incurred increased costs due to Swim England Covid requirements.  Our only source of income is generated from our swimmers fees, so these increased costs have hit us hard.

As a non-profit making organisation and charity, we have been severely impacted by the recent enforced closures and we fear that if we do not reach out for donations now, our  financial situation will jeopardise the future of the club.

The money that we raise through this project will help us do three things, most importantly survive as a club, but also help support families struggling to pay their monthly fees, and allow us to provide 1-2-1 support to swimmers who have been identified that need additional support.
