We are small but friendly Bowls Club with an aging membership. We want more people to take up the game and a quality playing surface will without doubt encourage more to try the game which can be enjoyed by old and young, ladies and gents. This game helps people to interact and is great for making new friends. Although the game can be competitive is really is more about taking part.
I joined Forbes Road seven years ago and have thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Since I joined we have needed to replace our old Clubhouse which virtually cleared our funds. Then we suffered a very dry summer in 2018 which resulted in our green needing a great deal of effort and money spent to bring it back to a playable standard. We now have a much improved surface but it still needs further improvement.
Please help us to achieve our aims by supporting this appeal.
