Bottesford Town Football Club was formed in humble beginnings in 1974 based in the Dolphin Pub in Yaddlethorpe, Scunthorpe.

' From small acorns mighty oaks grow having now in 2020 been established as one of the leading clubs in the area'.

Today the Club operates with 27 teams consisting of junior and adult male & female players participating in a combination of mini- soccer, and 11 sided football. The inclusion of a disabled football team into the Club with the formation of a DSActive team for those individuals who suffer from ‘Downs Syndrome’ has been a success story, the enthusiasm shown by this group has been immeasurable and they continue to grow in numbers. They have already traveled throughout the UK experiencing many success stories and now play in a League Competition where away travel is required throughout Lincolnshire

The team has also been selected to participate in the ‘Special Olympics’ for which they will receive the Club’s support.

The Club is a ‘voluntary organisation’ working to provide opportunities for young people to participate in sport, we aim to deliver a better future for the young people in the local community.

To facilitate this, the members and supporters of the organization are actively engaged in looking to raise funds to meet its current needs and the future needs of its development as a FA Charter Standard Community Club.

One such initiative is to establish a Club Mini-Bus which will be a great asset in supporting 'away' travel throughout the County and beyond for a number of their teams. It would be extremely beneficial to our DSActive players and carers to access a club mini bus when the team attend tournaments for preparation for the Special Olympics; they are required to attend grading games which will take place around the UK.

Another Community initiative established at the Club that would make use of a Club Mini-Bus is SOLUTIONS.

SOLUTIONS was set up following the requests from schools and academies for services that were needed to help develop potential and improve outcomes for young people, it's aims are to provide cost effective early help for organisations working with children and young people.
