Aim: Creating sister site in Bearwood - supplying local community with produce straight from the farm, artisan bread, natural wines and more.

About Us and Our Vision 

We set up our first shop nearly four years ago in King's Heath delivering our passion of supplying the very best produce and providing a high street outlet for local makers and producers to sell their goods.

We want to open up a second site in Bearwood as general store supplying the local community with excellent locally sourced - often direct from the farm - quality produce including fruit, vegetables, artisan freshly baked goods from the wonderful Levain & Cherry, a fantastic range of wines sourced by Grace + James of King's Heath as well as local honey, preserves, pickles, oils, sauces and other useful store cupboard ingredients.

Doing our bit for the environment is really important to us and we aim to reduce the use unnecessary use of single use plastic packaging that is so prolific when buying from large supermarkets. Reducing food waste is important to us so our ethos is you can buy as little or as much as you want.

Your Support

Levain & Cherry Artisan Bakery

The gift of no bakery queues with a delicious home delivery of baked goods fresh from the Levain & Cherry oven. 

Grace + James is a neighbourhood wine bar and cheesemonger selling wine, local beer, British and European cheese and charcuterie to eat in or takeaway.

Their wine list changes regularly and focuses on Organic, Biodynamic and Natural wines that are made by winemakers who respect the environment, avoid the use of additives, chemicals and pesticides and who make wines that are exciting, delicious and better for you!

They will bring a range of wines with all of their knowledge and experience to a special wine tasting event at the new venue in Bearwood.

Koba-Ko are masters in making Ramen. The attention to detail and the development of the end product is a true work of art. They deliver daily delicious bowls of nutritious goodness at their current home 'Upstairs at Grace + James' in King's Heath. 

Now, for the first time you can experience their Ramen excellence in the comfort of your own home. The at home kits contain everything you'll need to recreate their Ramen art at your own pace without having to leave your home.  They are frozen so can be enjoyed whenever you want.

A perfect option for a nice night in or gift to someone for a celebration - birthday, new parents who are finding it difficult to get out of the house or someone just wanting to enjoy delicious ramen.

Options Available

Tantanmen

The Japanese take on the Chinese classic Dandan Noodles. A rich and spicy sesame based broth with classic ramen noodles topped with chicken soborro (spicy chicken mince), Pac choi, Green onions and a classic Nitamago (Ramen egg).

Tokyo Shoyu
Our take on the most popular ramen in Tokyo, Shoyu (soy sauce) ramen. A light and aromatic Chicken broth seasoned with our house Shoyu (soy sauce) Tare topped with Chashu pork belly, Menma (seasoned bamboo shoots), Spinach, Green onions and a classic Nitamago (Ramen egg).

Taiwan Mazesoba
A soupless ramen popularized by the ramen chain Menya Hanabi in 2008 this is our take on the Nagoya delicacy. Dry noodles seasoned with house made Ra-Yu (chilli oil) and Shoyu (soy sauce) topped with Spicy Chicken soborro (Chicken mince), Green onion, Tenkasu (tempura batter), Garlic chives, Toasted sesame seeds, Kizami nori, Bonito and an egg yolk.

All options can be available as vegan/vegetarian. 

Blow Water

Blow Water was founded in 2019 and opened the doors to their haven of Hong Kongnese delights a few years later on Heathfield Road, King's Heath. The offering of healthy and authentic East Asian food is sought after.
