Help Us De-Carbonize Boleskine House: A Historic Transformation for a Sustainable Future

At Boleskine House, we are not only dedicated to preserving a piece of history but also committed to ensuring that this iconic landmark stands as a beacon of sustainability for generations to come. To achieve this, we need your help! Aviva will match every donation we receive up to £250.

Why De-Carbonizing Matters:

Boleskine House is steeped in history, but like many old buildings, it wasn’t built with modern environmental concerns in mind. As part of our ongoing restoration efforts, we have a unique opportunity to turn Boleskine House into a model of eco-friendly renovation by significantly reducing its carbon footprint. By embracing sustainable practices, we can protect the environment, lower energy costs, and set a powerful example of how historical preservation and modern sustainability can go hand in hand.

Our Vision:

With your support and the Aviva Community Fund, we aim to raise £30,000 to:

1. Install Energy-Efficient Heating Systems: Replace outdated, inefficient heating methods with modern, energy-saving alternatives that reduce our reliance on fossil fuels.

2. Improve Insulation: Upgrade the insulation in the walls, roof, and windows to minimize heat loss and reduce energy consumption.

3. Incorporate Renewable Energy: Install solar panels and explore other renewable energy sources to power Boleskine House sustainably.

4. Utilize Eco-Friendly Materials: During the restoration, we will prioritize materials that have a low environmental impact, ensuring that our work today benefits the planet tomorrow.

If we can raise this money we can also draw down on grant offers of £130,000 which have already been pledged to us, allowing us to implement the full scheme which is priced at £160,000.

The Impact:

By supporting this project, you are not only helping to preserve Boleskine House but also contributing to a broader movement towards sustainable heritage preservation. This initiative will reduce carbon emissions, lower energy costs, and inspire others to consider the environmental impact of their own restoration projects.

How You Can Help:

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to making Boleskine House a symbol of sustainable restoration. By donating to our Aviva Community Fund campaign, you are investing in a future where history and sustainability coexist in harmony.

Join Us in Making History Green:

Boleskine House has stood the test of time, and with your help, it can also stand as a testament to what’s possible when we prioritize our planet. Let’s work together to create a sustainable future for this historic landmark.

Please consider donating to our campaign and be a part of this transformative journey. Together, we can de-carbonize Boleskine House and make history—sustainably.

All donations will be matched £1 for £1 by Aviva up to £250. So if you donate £250 we will receive £500. If you donate £100 we will receive £200. If you donate £20 we will receive £40.
