Who are we?
Belfast Malayali Association Cricket Club (BMACC), which is registered under the Northern Cricket Union (NCU) and is part of Cricket Ireland. BMACC was established in 2023 and comprises over 60 members from the Indian community, which belongs to the ethnically minority group in Northern Ireland. We successfully completed the 2024 season and aim to support minority group members in pursuing their passion for cricket.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Our mission includes helping children develop their cricketing skills and encouraging active participation in league competitions. To further this goal, BMACC plans to start practice sessions for boys aged 10–19 and create opportunities for kids to showcase their cricketing talent.
As a minority community group, we are eager to build a robust infrastructure to implement our plans. Therefore, we would like to apply for the Sports Northern Ireland Fund to purchase cricket accessories for both children and adults.

How we’ll spend the money raised
We have already obtained quotations for the cricket accessories, and once the Sports NI fund is granted, we will utilize it to purchase the required equipment.
Community impact
BMACC supports individuals from ethnically minority communities in developing their cricketing skills. This project will greatly benefit both children and adults from these communities, enabling them to actively participate and showcase their talents. Additionally, by promoting diversity and cultural exchange, this initiative will enhance Northern Ireland's appreciation and integration of other cultures.
