Young Minds: The Future Generation.
As someone who grew up struggling with my own mental health and still struggling today, I wanted to raise money for a charity that aims to help people cope and deal with their mental health. There are so many amazing charities to choose from but I chose Young Minds because of their dedication to helping the future generation of people.
Now, you may be asking, who are Young Minds?
Well, they are a charity with the main mission to ensure there is a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health, and all young people get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.
In the UK today, an estimated five children in every classroom has a mental health problem. A quarter of 17-year-old girls have self-harmed in the last year, while suicide remains the single biggest killer of boys and young men.
But things can get better.
Young Minds provide young people with tools to look after their mental health. They empower adults to be the best support they can be to the young people in their lives and they give young people the space and confidence to get their voices heard and change the world we live in.
So, I truly believe that together, we can create a world where no young person feels alone with their mental health. If you would like to know more about Young Minds, their mission and what their plan is, you can find it out here on their website.
What are you waiting for?
Join the movement and lets do our part to save the minds of our future.
Please note: Only contribute if you can afford to. If you cannot afford to, that is okay! A simple share or even checking out their website here to see what other ways you can help can make a huge difference. Never forget, there are a lot of ways you can help other than donating.
Regardless, I hope you can help contribute whatever you can to this amazing cause so that we can smash this £200 goal.
