The Birk Crag Centre is a residential and activity centre owned by Girlguiding North Yorkshire West. After over 50 years of use the old building we had on the site was no longer fit for purpose and was demolished in 2019 to create a new, multi-purpose and fully accessible residential centre. We have fundraised and built our 'dream' building, but we need your help now to 'fit out' the Centre to enable us to reopen and welcome everyone back again.
We want to be able to open the doors of our Centre again, allowing our young members to return to Guiding and help them take part in activities which will re-build their self-confidence and esteem after the pandemic. Additionally, our new Centre will provide members of our local community with a safe and fully accessible place to meet, enabling those with physical, sensory and learning disabilities to enjoy the space equally.
