Poonam Goyal, a dedicated devotee, is supporting Anil Randev (founding member, priest and chairman) in trying to raise funds to complete the renovation project. The Temple needs to raise approximately £100,000 in order to complete this project. We would be very grateful for any contributions for this good cause. Even the smallest donation will go a very long way in achieving our goal to give something back to the community.
Bhagwati Shakti Peeth Mandir, established in April 2006, is a Registered Charity established by a group of devotees. After a decade of fundraising through religious events, ceremonies and donations from the wider community, the Mandir is now in its final stages of completion.
Due to Covid-19 many fundraising events have had to be cancelled which has had a direct adverse impact on construction work able to be undertaken during this time.
Due to the lack of Council support we are once again looking to seek the assistance of the community, where we can finalise the development of our community focal point.
The aim and purpose for the Mandir is to be a center, open to all faiths, including facilities such as a small library, open planned halls which can accommodate multi-faith functions and events.
Educational classes by multilingual educators will be conducted for children, this will enrich their development in an enjoyable manner. There will also be weekly yoga classes open to everyone. Furthermore, the temple will host Senior’s Day, providing food, beverages and games.
Bhagwati Shakti Peeth Mandir requires refurbishment following its extension to cater for larger functions both religious and community events.
Benefits to the community:
- Bringing the community together
- Hold religious and non-religious functions
- Educating the minds of the future generation
