Here at Bevois Town we believe in supporting all children to smile, sparkle and shine. This includes giving them opportunities to play, learn and explore in a natural environment and giving them the time to go at their own pace. Forest School is all having fun in nature; doing activities such as den building, fire lighting, nature arts and crafts, bug hunting and tree climbing.
We would like to raise the funds to build a new Forest School area for our youngest children (age 4-5) at Rainbow Base. We have the land but at the moment the boundary fence blocks access, so we need to relocate this fence to include a wild area with trees, ideal for adventuring.
As we live in the middle of a city, we are limited for green space so it is really important that we make the most of what we have. This is the same for our families, many of whom don't have a garden and cannot easily access the great outdoors outside of the city. Green space positively impacts on our health and wellbeing, something even more vital for city kids.
