Support BetterWe CIC – A Home Away from Home 

At BetterWe CIC, we believe that communities thrive when people come together, support each other, and grow side by side. For the past five years, we’ve dedicated ourselves to building such a community in Levenshulme, Manchester, creating a safe, inclusive, and vibrant space where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

From humble beginnings, we’ve now engaged with over 6,000 people, and every connection has meant the world to us.

What We Do

We offer a wide range of activities and support programmes for people of all backgrounds, ages, and genders:

• Women’s Wellbeing (Sakhi Group): Yoga, mindfulness, lunch clubs, and coffee mornings – creating a sisterhood of strength and support.
• Men’s Engagement: Gardening projects, sports, community discussions, and "Coffee with Politics" sessions – fostering openness, belonging, and healthy routines.
• Children & Older Adults: A safe, warm place to play, learn, and simply enjoy being part of a community.
• Cultural Celebrations: We honour and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of South Asian countries, helping children and adults reconnect with their roots through festivals, traditional music, art, and storytelling.

Why We Matter

For many, BetterWe is more than a community centre it’s a home away from home. We create a space where migrants, families, elders, and young people can rediscover a sense of identity, belonging, and joy. In a time when loneliness, disconnection, and cultural erosion are widespread, our work has become not just important but essential.

We don't just host events.
 We build relationships, foster mutual respect, and plant seeds of hope and healing.
