The more money raised, the more people we can help.
We'd love to be able to deliver Christmas parcels to everyone we normally support with our gift appeal, which is around 2,000 homeless and older people across Southwark. As we raise more, we'll be able to add more charities and projects to the delivery lists.
Help Better Bankside and Borough Market spread some kindness this Christmas to homeless, vulnerable and older people in our neighbourhood.
This year, as so many of us are still working remotely, we’ve had to adapt our usual Christmas gift box campaign to make sure that Bankside’s charities don’t miss out on the thousands of gifts we normally deliver at this time of year from local businesses and employees.
We’re partnering with Borough Market to help deliver Christmas food gifts to homeless and older vulnerable people whilst also supporting the small and independent traders at Borough Market.
Your contributions will help us fund parcels of edible treats to be delivered to Bankside’s charities ahead of Christmas, and the more we raise, the more people who will benefit from Banksiders' generosity.
Just think of all the coffees, lunches and office treats you haven’t splashed out on in Bankside while working from home; what better way to put some of these savings back? Or why not make it an opportunity to do something together as a team to fundraise your business’ contribution?
Some of the local organisations we’ll be supporting this year include:
- St Mungo’s Great Guildford Street
- Robes Project
- Look Ahead Southwark Bridge Road
- Lucy Brown House
- Blackfriars Settlement
- Hopton Street Almshouses
As the appeal grows, we’ll be adding more beneficiaries to this list and updating the number of people who will receive gifts. We’d love to be able to support as many people as possible.
