To create a purpose built changing pavilion, communal area and community hub to support the development of our Rugby League Club
by Bentley ARLFC in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom
On the 13th May 2022 we'd raised £25,342 with 88 supporters in 69 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Any extra funding will further support the build project, facilities, equipment and contribute to the future success of the club.
Bentley ARLFC is a community Rugby League Club and registered charity that has grown rapidly in recent years. Our vision is to build a changing pavilion with a communal area that not only supports the rugby club into the future but creates a space that will truly bring the the local people of Bentley and surrounding communities together. A space that will also support a number of other possible community activities.
We are looking to build a modern and accessible facility which will consist of a 4 changing rooms and a communal/social area to support the diverse needs of a modern and rapidly growing Rugby League Club and the wider community.
With support from the Created By Rugby League World Cup legacy program, Sport England, club members, friends in the community and any kind donations we plan to build something that our playing and none playing community can be proud of and put a smile on everyone's face after such a terrible period over recent years. The task of raising the money is no mean feat but it’s something we believe in and with the support of you all we know we can achieve it.
We currently have a record number of signed on players (150+), representing all school years and in 2022 we will have our first Girls Team at U12's. Our 1st Team will compete in the NCL Div 3 for the first time in our history and will be the first team to represent South Yorkshire at this level. Our second team play in the Yorkshire Mens League. The planned facility will help us maintain our current growth and for us to push further forward with plans to grow our participation in the Girls game and look to develop a masters team.
All our teams currently play across several venues stretched across the community. It's time we brought them all home!
