Hi and welcome to my fundraiser page for the Alzheimer's Society!
I am cycling 500km over 3 days!
- Day One – Aviva York to Stoke on Trent (via Sheffield Aviva Office) - 170km
- Day Two – Stoke on Trent to Oxford - 230km
- Day Three – Oxford to London (Aviva HQ, 80 Fen) - 100km
This is going to be quite a challenge for myself, mainly because I am from Suffolk and have no idea what a hill is and I have never cycled 230km in one go and no where near 500km in 3 rides.
A bit about the charity:
As a Society, we are made up of people with dementia, carers, trusted experts, campaigners, researchers and clinicians. We are the UK’s largest collective force of people with unparalleled knowledge and over 40 years of experience addressing the biggest challenges facing people living with dementia
We’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future, through;
- Providing dementia support services such as our support line, online and print information, expert dementia advisers and online community, giving advice and practical guidance for the next steps as people living with dementia navigate the hardest times of their lives
- Funding dementia research, backing the world’s brightest minds and funding over 600 research projects to find the best ways to get early diagnosis, innovate care and develop targeted treatments
- Campaign action to hold decision-makers to account, and amplify the voices of everyone living with dementia
With your help we can give vital support to those who need it most, hold decision-makers to account, and fund ground breaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.
Together we are help and hope for everyone living with dementia.
