Unlike other parties The Green Party doesn't get contributions from large business or unions. That means we have to rely on our members and supporters for every penny we spend, but it does mean we are not beholden to anyone for our policy and the decisions we make - just the people who we serve - our voters.
Elections are an expensive business. It takes a deposit of £500 just to stand as a candidate and with 6 candidates across Bedfordshire that soon mounts up.
Ben Foley is standing as our candidate for Bedford. He has been a councillor for the last 5 years and people know he is hard working and fights hard for his ward. It is this dedication, attention to detail and persistence that he will bring as an MP, but he needs your help to get there.
Please donate - every pound you give makers a huge difference to his campaign and The Green Party in Bedford.
Please note that we're required to run electoral register checks on people making donations above £500, and if you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know, who will make this available on their website. All donations go to general Green Party funds.
