Ben Daglish Legacy Fundraiser

I’m sorry to hear this news / Ben was a superstar in the world of C64, so talented. I must catch up on what he got into later on but, for now, I hope it gives his family some small comfort to know how much a huge community really respect and admire him. Sad news.

Rest in peace Ben. Always liked your C64 music especially in Last Ninja.

I just can't explain how much Ben's music gave me. I hope this (very) little contribution will help in continuing to keep his works and legacy alive for future generations.

Benn made some awesome music and remained an active and integral part of the (retro and current) music scene. An awesome guy that certainly did not deserve to be torn away from friends and family so prematurely.

We all miss Ben so much. It’s so wonderful to be able to help his legacy live on through this xx

I remember when I first heard the music of the Last Ninja back in 87, I knew something special had been created then. When I listen to it again today, it's even more special knowing the limitations that pioneers like you worked with. Rest in peace Ben, you inspired a generation of kids and peaked our interest in creativity, whether it was music, coding or both. Thank-you.

I met Ben briefly at the Fastloaders gig in London. Wonderful performance, and a really nice person. I am very sorry for the loss of the family.

Ben was a epic human. He breathed and lived creativity and fun. We won't see anyone like him again

People talk about the "Soundtrack of my youth", well Ben was part of mine along with the other computer music pioneers. A sad loss.

An inspiration, and I hope this great campaign will help his family, and others through the wonderful idea of a Young Performers legacy in his name.

I am so sorry for you. I loved his music since I got a C64 from my parents. I am so sad.

What a wonderful person making so many people happy.

When someone leaves a footprint like Ben's, you know they did something right. 8-bit music might not mean a whole lot to most people, but it sure does to the rest of us. Thank you, Ben.

Glad I had a chance to meet him in person. Spoke at length too, such a wonderful fellow. I will never forget.

I was saddened by the passing away of Mr. Daglish. I, as likely many other people of my generation, was lucky enough to grow up playing videogames where the soundtrack had been written by him, and those were melodies destined to stuck in our head forever. And that's arguably the best way I have to remember him: I only knew Ben by his music and, lately, thanks to a couple of interviews (god bless the internet!), so I hope his legacy will stay with us, the people that are still whistling his tunes after 30 years.
