Hi, I’m Ben Donaghy – performer, writer, and long-time musical theatre nerd. After years of collecting stories, scribbling notes, and singing in too many dressing rooms to count, I premiered my self-written one-man show BED at both Durham and Camden Fringe last summer. It’s personal, funny, theatrical, and a little bit heartbreaking – everything I love about storytelling on stage.
Now, with the support of my (very patient and very brilliant) family production company, I’m taking BED to the Edinburgh Fringe. This is a huge next step, and it means the world to be sharing this show with new audiences on such an iconic platform.
Our vision? To create a raw, honest, and joyfully theatrical piece about intimacy, queerness, memory, and what it means to share your bed – metaphorically and literally.
Described as a "brave, vibrant, sharp, and referential comedy" by London Pub Theatres at Camden Fringe
The money we raise will go directly towards venue hire, registration fees, marketing, travel, accommodation (and maybe a Greggs or two). Every donation – big or small – brings this story closer to the stage, and I’d be endlessly grateful for your support.
Let’s take BED to Edinburgh. Let’s make a bit of Fringe magic.
