Aim: Empower Beauty Academy, a fully inclusive beauty training institution designed to provide high-quality, hands-on education
Hi my name is Carina, a qualified beauty therapist with over 20 years of industry experience, and for the past 6 years, I’ve worked as a beauty educator in Further Education. My journey began with a passion for helping people feel confident and empowered through beauty—and that same passion led me to teach, mentor, and support hundreds of students in achieving their qualifications and launching their careers. I’ve seen first hand how transformative beauty training can be, especially for young people who need a second chance or extra support. With this academy, I want to create a space where skills meet self-belief, and where everyone—from aspiring artists to young people with special educational needs—has the opportunity to thrive.
I aim to launch Empower Beauty Academy, a fully inclusive beauty training institution designed to provide high-quality, hands-on education to aspiring beauty professionals—including young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). My mission is to offer equal opportunities in beauty education, build confidence, and promote entrepreneurship.
My vision is to create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment where all individuals—regardless of background or ability—can learn, grow, and thrive in the beauty industry. Whether a student is neurotypical or has learning differences such as autism, ADHD, or developmental delays, Empower Beauty Academy will provide personalised support and flexible training to meet their needs.
he funds raised will be used to establish a fully inclusive and accessible Beauty Training Academy that serves both mainstream learners and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
A portion of the funding will go toward renovating a welcoming, accessible training space, designed with sensory-friendly features and inclusive layouts. We will invest in high-quality beauty equipment, adaptive training tools, and student kits to ensure hands-on, professional learning experiences. Additionally, funds will support the development of accredited courses tailored to various learning needs, as well as the recruitment of qualified beauty educators and SEN support specialists. Marketing, outreach, and community engagement initiatives will also be funded to reach underrepresented groups. Lastly, a portion of the funds will be allocated to scholarships and subsidised placements for low-income and SEN learners, ensuring that financial barriers do not stand in the way of personal and professional growth.
Beauty is for everyone—and so is opportunity. Your support can provide education, empowerment, and equity for all aspiring beauty professionals, including those with learning differences. Help us create a future where everyone can shine in the beauty industry.
