Hello! We are Karris and Scott McCulloch, and in 2013, we founded ‘TheVeganKind’, the UK’s Leading online retailer that helps people go and stay vegan. We have launched this campaign to raise money to help us move from our current 3,000 square foot of warehouse space to somewhere three times the size, to help us cope with our rapid growth and the phenomenal demand for vegan products that has exploded in the UK and beyond in the last five years! We want to create the biggest and best 100% vegan online supermarket that the UK has ever seen. You will know if it is vegan, you can get it from TheVeganKind.
We started our 100% vegan, family owned and run business five years ago, from our living room table, with an idea for a monthly subscription box that would make the transition to a vegan lifestyle much easier. In a matter of months, we had grown so quickly that we had to take on our first small 1,000 square foot warehouse to help keep up with demand.
Less than two years later, veganism (and our business!) had grown so rapidly that we had to relocate to our current space, a 3,000 square foot warehouse (three times the size of our first one!) that gave us the much needed space to expand the business and launch TheVeganKind supermarket, where we now ship vegan cheese, burgers, pizzas, chocolate, and even doughnuts to our happy customers.
#TeamTVK consists of 12 incredible, hard working and dedicated members of staff who have helped us make the business the success it is today, along with two critically important part-timers, our children, Casey (6) and Tyler (2). They've been on this journey with us their whole lives, have never eaten animals and are absolutely thriving on a vegan, plant-based diet. They are our driving force behind all that we do and see us completely committed to making veganism accessible and appealing to all, for their future as well as ours!

In the two years since we moved into our current warehouse, we've seen dramatic growth. We've reached over 250,000 combined followers on social media, and now ship out almost 10,000 orders a month across both our subscription boxes and our supermarket. We've found ourselves in the most wonderful (yet scary!) position that once again we've outgrown our current space and are in desperate need of relocating to a warehouse much bigger than the one we're currently in.
In order to help us on this next stage of our journey, we are launching this Crowdfunding campaign with the hope that our loyal fanbase of friends, customers, supporters and onlookers may be able to help realise our next dream. Supporting us on Crowdfunder will allow us to move to a 12,000 square foot warehouse, trebling us in size and giving us the freedom to grow that we so desperately need.
- Install a 2 tier mezzanine shelving system - giving us the ability to quickly scale our inventory and stock up to 20,000 incredible ambient vegan products.
- Install a 1,000 square foot chill room - allowing us to stock more of our fastest selling products and buy in bulk as well as being able to add further lines without worrying about space.
- Install 7 Pallet bays - allowing us to use height within our warehouse for storage of all additional stock
- Purchase a forklift truck to help us in our day to day operations
- Recruit an additional customer services advisor so we can open up phone lines for customer contact, helping our service be the best it can be.
- Allow us to create a targeted billboard advertising campaign promoting TheVeganKind and a vegan lifestyle for all, in early 2019.
