Bay is a very special dog, trained for 4 years as a service dog for a lady with Special Needs.
She is 9 years old and has developed cancer with two very large tumours.
She needs special care.
All contributions will help towards medicine costs and a possible operation.
Bay was chosen for her extraordinarily affectionate and loyal nature as a puppy. Kitty had waited for years to find the right match and to raise the money and support to pay for the costs, including training, as she was outside of the age range where training and costs are normally covered by charity.
This was the beginning of a new life for both Bay and Kitty and a great love affair; Bay is Kitty's warm connection to life, her family companion and helps her to find her way safely through what can be a terrifying world.
Unfortunately this didn't prevent Kitty from being targeted by fraudsters who successfully achieved a con that left Kitty in massive debt.
Now Bay has cancer and needs special care and treatment that Kitty does not have the funds for; it is devastating.
She has lost so much in material terms and now she faces the possibility of losing her best friend and heart-soul mate and the horror of witnessing Bay struggling more and more.
Bay is still loving life but distressed by pain and limitation; she looks puzzled and as if she is asking how to deal with what is going on.
She needs to stay close to home and the world is smaller.
She needs special diet, medication, dressings and veterinary assistance to help her quality of life, and we need funds to cover the costs including vet's bills and possible operations.
