I’m raising funds to fight Trichotillomania. Your help will go toward therapy and treatment to reclaim my life and confidence.

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out for your support as I battle Trichotillomania, a condition that compels me to pull out my own hair. This disorder has deeply affected my life, from my physical appearance to my mental well-being. It’s not just about losing hair; it’s about losing confidence, facing anxiety, and struggling with feelings of isolation.

**What Is Trichotillomania?**

Trichotillomania, or "trich," is a mental health condition classified as a Body-Focused Repetitive Behavior (BFRB). For those who suffer from it, the urge to pull out hair can be overwhelming and uncontrollable. The impact goes beyond hair loss, leading to emotional distress, self-consciousness, and social withdrawal.

**Why I Need Your Help:**

Treatment for Trichotillomania can be costly and often isn’t fully covered by insurance. The funds raised will go directly toward:

- **Therapy:** Specialized cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other forms of counseling that have been shown to help manage and reduce hair-pulling urges.

- **Medical Expenses:** This includes consultations with doctors who specialize in treating Trichotillomania, medications, and other related treatments.

- **Support Resources:** Access to support groups, online programs, and educational materials that provide tools and coping strategies.

**My Goal:**

My ultimate goal is to reclaim my life from this condition. I want to regain confidence, reduce my anxiety, and learn healthier ways to cope with stress. With your help, I believe I can make significant progress in my journey toward recovery.

**How You Can Help:**

Your donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference in my life. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with others who might be able to help is just as valuable.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can provide. Together, we can bring more awareness to Trichotillomania and help those who suffer from it, including myself, find a path to healing.

With gratitude,

E.
