Back Quay Bar Local Venue Bar and kitchen

Back quay bar is a local communityvenue Bar and kitchen in the centre of Truro in Cornwall it is a family owned business ran by myself Sarah and my son's and with a little help from my youngest daughter. We open the bar in June just after the first lock down as he felt it was the right time to open such a venue in the heart of the city in to breathe new life into an area which had in recent years become quite desolate of interesting and you nightlife before the time was right to do this and set about with our plan to create a really unique space for everyone to enjoy. However the global pandemic has created a really uncertain landscape for businesses such as ours and we are now in lockdown number to which none of us could predict at the time I'm as I start a business and a small business we don't qualify for any funding so we reaching out to all our friends and supporters locally and asking you to help us remain here in the city and keep are lovely community space open.

the idea of the back quay bar is to create a venue that is small and and unique in the city to showcase local talented musicians, theatre, talks and a space for community groups to meet, be it during the day or the evening. Also a space families can get together with storytelling and much more. A really cool place for people to hang out, meet with friends, family and just generally enjoy the atmosphere.

the idea behind the pay It forward project is to allow businesses and community groups that myself to continue beyond lock down number 2. Pay It forward allows you to to pay for in advance a evening out, drinks, a celebration night and more, 

you'll see from our pledges we've offered some items that you can buy in advance in readiness for when we open in December. These pray advanced sales will allow us the money we need to reopen and replace the stock that we've had to lose during this lockdown period it will also help us to ensure that we can continue after the Christmas period through january-february which are traditionally very slow months for the industry after losing the November sales. 

we have been so lucky to have gain so many new supporters and friends in our bar and community space and we look forward to seeing you all again in December and thank you all for supporting us in this challenging time.
