Waterside Memory Walk

Aim: On 19 September British Airways colleagues will be coming together to take part their Memory Walk in support of Alzheimer's Society

British Airways colleagues are taking part in their own Memory Walk to celebrate World Alzheimer's Month.

What is Memory Walk?

Memory Walk is so much more than a sponsored walk.  Every year thousands of amazing people come together to remember, share and bring hope for a brighter future. Walking for those you love, for those you’ve lost and for those whose future you care about.  

When is it taking place? 

The walk will be taking place at Waterside at 12pm on Thursday 19th September. Join us to walk a beautiful 5k route around the woodlands surrounding Waterside. 

Dementia is the biggest health and social challenge of our time

Alzheimer’s Society are committed to ending the devastation caused by dementia, giving help to those living with dementia today and providing hope for the future. There are currently estimated to be 900,000 people in the UK with dementia. Many are undiagnosed and facing the realities of their condition alone. With the help of their amazing supporters like British Airways, Alzheimer’s Society are changing that.

The impact your donations make

With your help, British Airways will raise vital funds to support to those who need it most, hold decision-makers to account, and fund ground-breaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.

In 2024 colleagues took on the London Memory Walk and raised £1,317 this could fund over 200 calls to Alzheimer's Society's Dementia Support Line providing families affected by dementia vital support from one of their expert Dementia Advisers. 

Together we are help and hope for everyone living with dementia.
