We are thrilled to share with you the exciting news of our endeavor to establish a new chapter of the Alternative to Violence Project in Lebanon and invite you to join us in this endeavor.

At AVP, our vision is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves to live in a safe and supportive environment, free from violence and abuse. Guided by this vision, our mission is to provide resources and education to our worldwide community, fostering a culture of peace and conflict resolution.

Lebanon, like many regions across the globe, faces the harsh realities of violence and conflict. As we witness the impact of such challenges on communities and individuals, we recognize the urgent need to extend our reach and support to those in need. It is with this commitment in mind that we embark on this new chapter, aiming to empower the people of Lebanon with the tools and knowledge necessary to address and mitigate violence in their communities.

Our primary objective in establishing this new chapter is to create a community and network of individuals who can serve as catalysts and facilitators of learning and activities that contribute to non-violence and harmony amongst peoples and communities.    Interested members will undergo comprehensive training in conflict resolution, communication skills, empathy building, and nonviolent practices. Equipped with this  knowledge, they will then serve as facilitators and educators, spreading our message of peace, empathy and harmony through various channels within their communities.

Key components of our initiative in Lebanon include:

Training :  We will identify and train a diverse group of individuals from various backgrounds, including community leaders, educators, youth activists, and social workers, equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively address conflicts and promote nonviolent solutions.

Community Engagement:  Through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs, we will actively engage with communities across Lebanon, raising awareness about the detrimental effects of violence and offering practical strategies for conflict resolution and peacebuilding.

Capacity Building:  Our efforts will focus on building the capacity of individuals, local organizations and institutions in Lebanon to address violence and support those that experience violence, trauma and conflict. By providing resources, technical assistance, and networking opportunities, we aim to contribute to strengthening the overall resilience of communities against violence.

Sustainability:  We are committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability of our initiative by fostering local ownership and collaboration. Through partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders, we will work towards integrating our programs into existing structures and systems, thereby maximizing impact and reach.

As we embark on this new chapter in Lebanon, we invite you to join us in our mission to create a safer and more peaceful world for all. Your support and generosity will enable us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless individuals and communities affected by violence.

Together, let us strive towards a future where empathy triumphs over aggression, and where every individual has the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and violence-free environment.

Thank you for your continued belief in our vision and for your unwavering commitment to building a better world.
