A virtual showcase of the gardens of Avoch and Killen, raising money for Avoch & Killen Community Council and NHS Charities Together.
by Avoch & Killen Community Council in Avoch, Scotland, United Kingdom
At the end of summer 2019, members of Avoch & Killen Community Council started planning for the summer 2020 return of Avoch Open Gardens. A few months ago it became clear that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, opening local gardens to the general public would not be possible this year. And so a plan B was born, the Avoch & Killen Virtual Gardens tour. During lockdown, our local gardeners have been very busy, and an array of photos and videos have been submitted displaying their efforts. Now those from near and far can enjoy our virtual gardens showcase.
We are asking for a suggested donation of £5.00 from those who have enjoyed this virtual event, but of course we would be very grateful if you wished to donate more. Funds raised will be split between Avoch & Killen Community Council and NHS Charities Together, enabling us to continue improving our local community and to support the work of the NHS during the continuing crisis.
Thank you for your support.
