Who are we?
Our Club is a voluntary amateur football club based in Augher, County Tyrone. Reformed in 2016, the Club has 100+ members and currently caters for youth football and 2 senior teams. The Club provides regular football and physical activity opportunities for those living within Augher and the surrounding Clogher Valley area through coaching sessions as well as competitive matches throughout the year.
The Club strives to provide opportunities that improve opportunities in sport for better physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. The Club works hard to develop local community links, for example our volunteers focus much of our efforts with local community groups and organisations to ensure everyone has access to sport and wellbeing activities. A major aim of the Club moving forward is to encourage more participation from parents, local families and supporters. We also focus a lot of our work in promoting sport and physical wellbeing among groups who otherwise would not traditionally have access to football in the past- such as females, persons with disabilities and the elderly within our community.
Impact of Covid19 on our Club
Covid19 has affected our Club as follows:
- Lack of fundraising
- Loss of income
- Lack of activities
- Lack of football being played
- Loss of volunteers
- Health and wellbeing issues because of lockdown
-
Community impact

Crowdfunding will be directly used to support local girls in Augher and surrounding areas to build back better from the pandemic.
Funding will be used to engage local children and in particular girls who are new to football, after a prolonged period of lockdown and isolation.
Crowdfunding will allow us to deliver 16 weeks of girls football introductory programmes. Your donation will directly support over 50 girls to get involved in football for the first time,
The 16 weeks will involve learning the basic skills of football, having fun, meeting new friends and working on agility, balance and coordination.
The main benefits will be:
Learning a new skill and sport.
Meeting new friends.
Being more active.
Improved physical health for participants
Improved mental health and well-being for participants
Reduce isolation for participants
Increase participation opportunities in football for participants.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are Crowdfunding to raise funds to help us develop more opportunities for females to take part in football within our rural community. We want to ensure there are equal opportunities for girls in our community to take part in football and sport.
We want to create a girls team within our Club going forward. This crowdfunding will allow us to work towards achieving this.
We are crowdfunding to provide opportunities for underrepresented groups in our rural community to build back better from Covid19 lockdown over the last 2 plus years.
We are crowdfunding to provide more exercise opportunities for our local community.
