Arts4Wokingham

Our Vision

Arts4Wokingham is a charity dedicated to the promotion and championing of art across the borough of Wokingham.

Our landmark project is aiming to locate a major and significant sculptural work outside Wokingham’s new sports, leisure and cultural complex, The Carnival Hub. Over 60 distinguished and acclaimed international artists expressed an interest in securing this commission.

After a fiercely fought contest, award winning artist, Nicola Anthony, was chosen to produce the work. 

Nicola is perhaps best know for her metal sculptures that incorporate meaningful and poignant cut-out words and phrases into a variety of metal structures. Her vision for the piece outside The Hub has provisionally been called The Arc. It comprises a number of arches which combine to offer a pathway both into and out of the building itself.

We are now in the process of sourcing funding for this exciting campaign.
