Arena Platform Project

Aim: We are proposing to build a platform in the middle of the back car park of Arena Design Centre for people to enjoy and communally use.
We have costed and made blueprints for a 3x6m platform to occupy just under half of the current social space in the middle of the back car park, backing onto the gym. Allowing for a safe fire and audience zone. This includes all timber, treatments and fixings. Assembly will be a community job and will take a day. We think this would be a great addition to arena with a diverse range of possibilities for collective use, all of which liberated from being stared down by a group of cars. Yoga, music making, sun bathing, drawing, chewing the cud, having a bit of lunch. Wouldn’t all of these things be a bit more lovely if we had a sturdy and comfortable space to do it on? Somewhere where you could feel the remnants of a hot days sun on your back side? If you think yes, then we’re looking for your support! We want to raise funds between our stunning community to make this happen. It’ll be our thing. And it’s not just a bit of wood you’ll get in exchange.

For £40 you can have Lily be your personal chef for an evening (max. 8 people, she’s a good cook I promise but ingredients not included)

Any excess will be put back into the Arena community. Nicer furniture, plants, jacuzzis or helicopters - it will be for US to enjoy. We will also be taking it to Provewell for sponsorship.
