Ardingly Cricket Club
Ardingly Cricket Club is upgrading! We are growing and looking to enhance our offer to the community. The pavilion we use has undergone a massive refurbishment and we would like to support this by adding some essential upgrades within the community room and look at upgrading some very old and tired club equipment.
Like many clubs we have struggled financially over the last few years, this is due to the cost of living crisis, the lack of match fees due to bad weather and the general financial demand being placed on a small village club. During this time we have been keen to grow as a club, expand our offer of cricket and have even have even offered free junior sessions to the village, with some extra funding we could deliver more and more community activities with fresh equipment and an even more inviting facility.
Improving the social room at the pavilion by supporting in the renovation (e.g. Sofa's, kitchen equipment, social seating outside) and purchase of a new electronic scoreboard for the club.
With new additions to the social room and with the club having upgraded equipment we plan to entice more players from the village and beyond to join the club, engage in social activities and develop junior/woman talent locally.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
