Sizzle Reel
About Us & Our Vision
We are a passionate team of student filmmakers looking to create this short film as a part of our degree at METFilm School Brighton. This project is a deeply personal one, exploring themes of mental illness, isolation, and the lingering feeling of lost time. Our short film is set in the late 2000s and follows a character struggling with the inaccessibility of their ‘other Universe’—the version of themselves they long to be but feel they can never fully reach.
Through a realist, character-driven approach, we want to create a film that resonates with anyone who has felt stuck between who they are and who they wish they could be. This isn’t just a film about struggle—it’s about persistence, about trying anyway, even when it feels impossible.
