The Anne Robson Trust

RCN 1178352, Stevenage

We believe that no one should have to die alone. The Anne Robson Trust works with healthcare organisations to set up and train teams of volunteers to provide companionship to people nearing the end of their life, many of whom would otherwise spend their final days alone. Our website provides resources to help people who have received a terminal diagnosis themselves, or who are caring for a loved one who is dying.

At the Anne Robson Trust, we believe that no one deserves to die alone.

Most of us hope that when our time comes, we’ll die peacefully in our own bed.

But almost half of us will die in a busy hospital, surrounded by strangers.

We support people facing the end of life, whether their own or that of someone they love, by:

  • We support hospitals to set up and run teams of volunteers to provide companionship to patients in their final days, and emotional support to their friends and family.
  • Our website provides informaiton and resources for people who have received a terminal diagnosis themselves, or who support someone who is dying.

We are a small charity, but our impact and big ambitions are attracting attention - in 2022 our founder and CEO Liz Pryor was awarded an MBE for services to end-of-life care.

It is a privilege to improve people's experience at the end of their life. But our work is only possible thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

We invite you to stand with us as we bring comfort and dignity to people in the final weeks, days and hours of their life.
