Aim: Partner with Transforming Community to sell 500 paperback copies of the Anchored Devotional book or raise £5k in a pre-launch promotion.
Hello friends 👋🏾,
We are inviting our friends, colleagues, family, and those hearing about us for the first time to be part of something big - to help get the Anchored Devotional book in the hands of at least 500 people, including those in care homes and those who are incarcerated. Anchored Devotional book is a collection of 52 bite-sized Christian reflections to help individuals and communities start their day and their week.
Anchored Devotional started as a live Monday devotional session for members of Transforming Community and has been streamed over a thousand times on major podcasting platforms, including Spotify and Apple Podcasts. In May 2025, 5 episodes were included in DailyHope, a free 24-hour telephone service offering spiritual nourishment and support to older people and inmates across the UK. People who have interacted with the content have described it as timely, edifying, and inspiring. Anchored Devotional has also allowed those involved in writing and narration the opportunity to grow and to find their voice.
The story of the Anchored Devotional book goes back about 10 years ago when one of our members, Diwura Adeniran, went through a challenging period of her life. She found it really difficult to read her Bible and to pray. However, a devotional from Bible Gateway that came into her mailbox daily served as a lifeline and kept her anchored in her Christian faith. She likened the impact of the daily devotionals to the daily manna that God gave His people during their journey through the wilderness.
During that season, she recalls the whispers of the Holy Spirit nudging her that when she is stronger, she should do something similar. The impact of those daily devotionals has served as a seed for Anchored Devotional.
‘19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf…’
Hebrews 6:19-20

Our vision is to raise £5000 or sell 500 copies of the paperback copy in a pre-launch promotion. The proceeds from this fundraising and pre-sale will go towards the cost of publishing the book as a paperback, as an eBook and as an audiobook. You can either purchase a copy for yourself, purchase it as a gift to give others or sponsor the distribution of the book to seniors at care homes* and to those in prisons*.
The paperback copy is scheduled to be released in October 2025 alongside the other formats (e-book and audiobook) through a book launch event in London, England (subject to adequate funding).
