Communications companies are not sharing each others underground network because it is cheaper for them to dig up and insert a wooden pole. This is not progress, overhead cables and wooden poles are taking us back to the mid 20th century. They are dangerous, high maintenance and an eyesore.

Amblecote is a wonderful and sought after residential area that people call home. Cluttering our established neighbourhoods and green spaces with hundreds of ugly wooden poles and countless cables would cause great harm.

Within Amblecote is Lakeside, home to a diverse habitat including protected Swans. High level cables will be a threat to them as their flight and landing path cover the whole of this area.

The deforrestation impact of wooden poles on the environment is unacceptable. Reckless decisions by company's to deploy unnecessary infrastructure must be stopped.

Our wider mission is to work to see if the law can be changed to allow local authorities to make decisions on permitted development rights based on the views of local people.

We need help with the associated costs of fighting this battle to get necessary assessments and reports and informing residents.

Any donation however big or small will be used wisely to help protect this area, it's people and it's wildlife.
