Aloura app

Aim: To launch Aloura, a friendship app helping women connect, feel seen, and form meaningful friendships, because no one should feel alone.

After serving in the Army and now working as an award-winning construction manager, I’ve seen firsthand how isolating life can be for women, especially as we get older or go through major life changes. Over the past year, I’ve watched a trend unfold on TikTok and Instagram: women speaking openly about how lonely they feel and how difficult it is to make genuine friendships as an adult. They’re trying to connect on random platforms, but there’s nothing truly built for us… until now.

That’s what inspired me to create Aloura! A women-only friendship app designed to help women connect, feel seen, and build meaningful friendships. Whether you’re looking for someone to grab a coffee with, go for a dog walk, meet for a drink, or just have a chat with, Aloura will match you with like-minded women nearby who are looking for the same kind of connection. The app is all about helping women find friendship through shared interests, values, and lifestyles. Ultimately building new friendship circles that feel authentic and safe.

I’ve mapped out the full functionality and user experience myself and have spoken to developers who are genuinely excited about what Aloura can offer. Now I just need the funding to bring it to life and get it launched on the App Store.

Behind the scenes, I’ve already laid strong foundations: launching on TikTok and Instagram, building a waitlist, and sharing real testimonials from women who’ve said this is exactly what they’ve been waiting for. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and reaffirmed just how needed this is.

Aloura isn’t just another social app.. it’s something I wish I had years ago. It’s a space made by a woman, for women, to tackle loneliness head-on. Because no woman should feel alone.
