Alnwick Town Guides

The town guides receive a green token worth £5 for every 2 hr shift they undertake. This can be used to purchase a cup of tea and a cake at participating cafe’s. We then reimburse the cafe. It is a small thank you for the hours they put in over 28 weekends. We have 15 volunteers and visitors find the town guides to be very welcoming and helpful. The Town Guides are all ages, are fully supported and it boosts their confidence and social skills. It is a tremendous help to the town but we need funding to fully support this project for another year.
