Aim: We’re working to save and restore the Alness Heritage Centre, which has been damaged by dry rot.

Our Story – Preserving the Heart of Alness

We are a passionate team of local volunteers, historians, and community members who care deeply about protecting the heritage of Alness. The Alness Heritage Centre is more than just a building—it's a place where people come to learn, remember, and celebrate our shared history. From school visits to local exhibitions, it’s a space that connects generations.

Sadly, dry rot has caused significant damage, forcing us to close parts of the building. Without urgent restoration, we risk losing both the structure and the rich stories it holds.

Our vision is to fully restore the Heritage Centre, making it safe, accessible, and welcoming once again. The funds raised will go directly toward:

Treating and repairing the dry rot damage

Restoring and preserving historic features

Improving facilities for community use

Ensuring long-term structural safetyl

With your help, we can bring new life to this cornerstone of our community and protect our past for the future.
