Almas Libres is a global community which aims to engage, educate and empower women and girls through urban sports - skate, roller, quad, surf, climb, football, basketball, parkour, and play - performance, dance, art, and music, regardless of experience.
Our mission is to create safe and inclusive spaces where people come together, learn from each other, and empower one another to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to drive change in their own lives, their families, and their communities
Almas Libres host regular women only, mixed gender, and family events in Spain, and soon the United Kingdom.
From the money raised Almas Libres aim to expand our project to have a greater impact in the local community by continuing to
• offer free/affordable access to sport and play activities
• rent a designated community space where women and girls from all backgrounds can come together to foster a sense of community, connectivity and solidarity
• participate in free learning including language exchange, training, and enrol in local apprenticeships related to sport and play
• provide free workshops to women and girls from minority and disadvantaged backgrounds and those affected by sexual and domestic violence and abuse, mental health, and homelessness.
