All Tabs Open highlights the wide range of practices and theories employed throughout the Graphic Design Communication class of 2024. It hints at them not only through its visual merging of the digital and analogue but also through the theory and metaphor of having multiple tabs open while researching and exploring to inform our work and individuality.
The act of keeping ‘all tabs open’ also reflects the class’ belief in combining practices to create something new; to work across various mediums and methods to explore innovative visual and communicative styles. By categorising everyone’s work as a ‘tab’, we highlight the year’s abilities in looking sideways for inspiration, applying knowledge and methods learned and experimented with by our peers to develop our practices and theories. We want to call attention to this eagerness and ability to work with and learn from others, as we see it as a crucial skill for the future.
