New stretch target

Due to covid, the organisation hasn't been able to operate for over 18 months & therefore had no income during this time. The recovery plans were in place however the instruments are in need of tuning which will cost at least £2,000. 

We need to replace 5 instruments & music stands that were in the trailer when it was stolen which equate to £900.

We would also benefit from additional secure storage to protect the instruments from potential theft. A small shipping container unit would cost approx £1,500. 

Any additional funds will help with ongoing room hire, instrument maintenance & tutoring expenses.

The Newcastle All Stars Steel Orchestra is youth community project that has been running since 1997. The All Stars is not just a steel band, it's a place for young people to build self confidence in a supportive & safe environment. A place for those who find communication difficult to express themselves through playing music. A place to have fun, be creative & make friends & an opportunity to perform at events around the region.

Sadly our box trailer was stolen on 1st December from West Denton Community Centre leaving us with no means of transport for the instruments & will struggle to continue without it.  

We are a not for profit organisation but in on order to continue to run, we rely on income from gigs, fundraising, events & tutoring but the theft has now put this in question.

With help from our friends & supporters we would love to be able to purchase a new trailer to enable us to once again perform, entertain, teach & support other charities at their events.
