Hello,
I have been a vet for the last 10 years and I have become disillusioned by the corporatisation of the veterinary field. Clinics run by people who have no experience working as or with veterinary medicine and whose only goal is profit.
Often the vets in the clinic have no say over what is charged and there is no leeway to help clients who may not be able to afford emergency fees.
In a lot of cases there is a need for specialist referral (at high prices) for procedures that could be done in clinic but that the equipment isn't seen as a good investment despite the skills to use it being available.
I aim to create a clinic that can deal with the vast majority of cases presented, in house, with referral reserved for those cases that truly require specialist care. With funding available to help those who may not be able to have instant access to the kind of money required in an emergency situation.
