Reviving Alexandra Hall: A Home for Creativity in Halifax
For nearly a century, Alexandra Hall has stood as a symbol of artistic expression and community spirit in Halifax. Once a thriving venue, it played host to theatre, music, and social events, bringing people together through creativity. But today, it stands empty. We want to bring it back to life.
Our vision is to bring Alexandra Hall back to life as a vibrant cultural hub, serving the people of Halifax and beyond. This will be a space where artists, performers, and the local community can come together to create, collaborate, and celebrate. From producing world leading live theatre to grassroots performances, from community workshops to cultural events, Alexandra Hall will be a beacon for creativity and connection.
But to make this happen, we need you.
We are raising £50,000 to take the crucial first steps toward reopening this historic venue. Your support will fund:
- Completion of the Feasibility Study to plan for and ensure the project’s long-term success.
- Architectural Planning (RIBA Stages 2-3) to lay the groundwork for design and restoration.
- Campaign and Development Work to help secure major funding from trusts, foundations, and public bodies.
This isn’t just about restoring a building - it’s about reigniting a creative heartbeat in Halifax. Join us in bringing Alexandra Hall back to life!
