Alex Foundation

I am mother of a child with special needs, non verbal Alexander 15years old. I set up Alex Foundation with other parents in the same situation, to support parents and children with Autism, ADHD and Epilepsy . I often have had parents with special needs children asking me questions and needing advice and some use my experience over the years but during pandemic this need hugely increased. I started referring some parents to existing groups, that I know, but sometimes my experience and human contact is more important of all. During pandemic me and other parents with real experience of Autism,  Epilepsy and ADHD started a charity Alex Foundation with our Trustees/Volunteers. At the time we used to meet online on a weekly basis and have chats over the phone. We agreed on making an effort to open a real place after pandemic. A lot of our children are non verbal and it is difficult to do most things. This charity will help lots of parents and carers to understand they are not alone in our community and this project will be a voice to our children that the society have written off.
